Strengthening Our Community

As an economic development district, EPCOG operates to improve the economic standing of all its communities. EPCOG receives a planning grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA). With this program, ECPOG created a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) document. This document outlines all communities within the district and sets strategic goals to support the local economies. By implementing the CEDS, EPCOG aims to enrich the rural Eastern New Mexico region.

EPCOG constantly researches and supports economic projects such as the Ports-to-Plains initiative which targets the northeast of the region to create jobs by establishing a new interstate.

​EPCOG also offers services to assist with businesses in the region. These services can include grant searching, resource coordination, and site selection.
