Jai's experience ranges from real estate in Oklahoma, county government with Payne County (as Deputy Clerk), energy grant management with EPCOG, grant director with NM Junior College (TAACCCT), general project management, and marketing.

Organizational associations Jai has been involved with include Southwest Energy Alliance, Employer Support for the Guard and Reserves (Former Chair for Lea County), Rotary Club of Clovis, Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Clovis class of 2011-2012, American Wind Energy Association, the American Planning Association, and the NM American Planning Association Chapter. After graduating from high school, Jai quickly entered the workforce by becoming a licensed realtor in the state of Oklahoma. Her love for community development and rural New Mexico (including growing up on a ranch) brought her back to the Land of Enchantment.

Jai currently enjoys her time with her husband on Ute Lake in Logan, NM where she assists her husband with his veterinary business and gardening.

She is a proud mother of four grown children and five grandchildren.
