The Eastern Plains Council of Governments currently offers Multi-family Housing in three counties. Those counties include Guadalupe, Quay and Roosevelt.
Guadalupe County
EPCOG has three different properties located in Santa Rosa. There are two homes and a multi-unit apartment complex. Both homes have three bedroom and two baths and are located at 153 N. 10th street and 161 N. 10th street. Section 8 Tenant-Based Assistance Rental Vouchers are accepted for qualified households.
Rio Pecos Estates is a multi-unit complex located at 1005 McCarley Loop. It’s a mixed income rental complex that includes 24-different units. Because Low-income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) were used to partially fund this project we are required to follow LIHTC standards which means that 75% of the units must be rented to residents of the proper income level and that a restricted rent must be used. Currently six two-bedroom and twelve three-bedroom units are available to families that qualify at 60% of median income. The remaining units include two two-bedroom and four three-bedroom and are set at market rate.
Roosevelt County
Ruth Visage Apartments are located at 1101 West Fir Street in Portales and consists of twenty-five rental units. Twelve of the units are available to individuals who have very low to moderate incomes and are either elderly, handicapped, or disabled. Children are allowed if they are members of the “elderly” house hold. The other thirteen units are for tenants who may qualify with at least 60% of the median income or less.
Quay County
The San Jon Estates complex is located on 10th street in San Jon and consist of eight two-bedroom duplex units. Our agency assists very low, or moderate-income people. USDA Rural Development Multi-Family Housing provides Rental Assistance to qualified households based on 30% of adjusted monthly income.
